Canon XH A1
I love the camera. Since I first saw the camera, I really liked it. Now I have it in my hands and is spectacular, just love. It has many functions and shoot in SD and HDV. The suitcase that was included is excellent and fit perfectly all the camera accessories without stir or lost each other. The two batteries that was included provide a real long time. The only thing I did not like is that all the information displayed on the monitor of the camera is displayed on the external monitors where I read more . . .

I bought a Canon XL1 MiniDV camcorder in 1998 and this was my upgrade to advanced design and HD capability. I've had great luck with Canons and this "prosumer" model is being put to use as a "run & gun" unit acquiring footage for a reality TV pilot. Its feature set is not that complicated and gives a wide range of flexibility for many shooting situations, particularly the 24, 30 and 60 frame options as well as full manual.
